This is Ivan from Ancon Stone and Paver Corp. I’m reaching out to ask if you recommend a product to protect the natural stone on our stair treads. The stone has begun to peel in layers after winter exposure, and we are looking for a solution that will help protect it and reduce slipperiness during freezing conditions.

Para piedra natural que presenta desprendimiento superficial después del invierno, recomendamos SealGreen Brick and Stone Sealer con tecnología de protección contra sales. Este sellador químicamente reactivo penetra en la piedra y se integra con su composición, sellando los poros internos y reforzando la superficie. Al evitar la absorción de agua, ayuda a reducir el daño causado por los ciclos de congelamiento y descongelamiento. El sellador no altera la apariencia de la piedra ni vuelve la superficie resbalosa, ya que actúa desde el interior y no como un recubrimiento superficial. Solo puede removerse mediante lijado o eliminación de la superficie.

For natural stone that experiences surface peeling after winter, we recommend SealGreen Brick and Stone Sealer with Salt Protection Technology. This chemically reactive sealer penetrates the stone and bonds with its composition, sealing internal pores and strengthening the surface. By preventing water absorption, it reduces freeze‑thaw damage that causes delamination. The sealer does not alter the appearance of the stone or create a slippery surface, as it works below the surface rather than forming a coating. Removal is only possible through grinding or surface removal.
