Based on the dimensions you shared, here’s what we’re working with:
- Garage: Approximately 600 sq. ft. (smooth-finished concrete)
- Driveway: Approximately 920 sq. ft. (broom-finished concrete)
Recommended Products
For both your garage and driveway, we recommend:
- SealGreen Driveway Cleaner - 3 quarts or 1 gallon will be sufficient.

Cleaning Before Sealing (Important Step)
Even though your concrete is fairly new we still recommend cleaning both the garage and driveway with SealGreen Driveway Cleaner. This removes curing residue and fine dust so the sealer can fully penetrate the concrete for maximum protection.
- A pressure washer is not required for lightly soiled concrete.
- A pump sprayer works great for applying the cleaner.
- After cleaning, allow the concrete to air-dry for about 8 hours before sealing.
Garage Sealing Instructions
- Apply a light coat of SealGreen Concrete Sealer using a pump sprayer with a fan tip.
- While the surface is wet, lightly spread the product with a string mop to ensure even coverage.
- Spray and mop in one direction (north to south), allow it to absorb, then apply a second light pass in the opposite direction (east to west).
- Avoid puddling—more is not better. The goal is to make the concrete look evenly wet.
Driveway Sealing Instructions
- Use the same pump sprayer setup.
- Apply a light spray so the surface looks wet but does not puddle.
- Once the first pass has absorbed and looks dry, apply a second light coat in the opposite direction.
Drying & Use
- After sealing all areas, allow at least 8 hours of dry time before walking, driving, or exposing the surfaces to water.
- The sealer is penetrating, so it will not change the look of your concrete—no shine, no film, just protection from within.
Long‑Term Maintenance
- Your concrete will typically only need re-sealing every 4–5 years.
- When that time comes, simply clean the surface and reapply—no stripping or heavy prep needed.
Concrete Statue
You can use the same SealGreen Concrete Sealer on your statue as long as it’s been at least 2 years since the Thompson’s product was applied.
Application tip for statues:
- Start from the bottom and work upward using a garden sprayer.
- Follow with a sponge to prevent drips and runs.
- Two light passes work best.
