Short answer: You can seal after about 7 days (once the surface is hard and dry), even though the slab reaches full cure at 28–30 days.
Why the two time frames? Concrete gains strength over time. Industry guidance (ASTM) notes that concrete is considered fully cured in 28–30 days. However, it hardens from the surface downward, so the top layer is typically ready sooner.
· When to apply Kennel Concrete Concentrate Sealer (typical): around 7 days after pour, once the surface is hard, clean, and visibly dry.
· Conditions matter cooler temperatures, high humidity, or shaded areas can slow drying if in doubt, wait a few extra days.
· Benefit of sealing early: applying at ~7 days helps protect the surface while the slab continues curing, including added defense against salt damage.
