We have stained concrete floors throughout our home. I am considering using the SealGreen W10 Gloss Finishing Sealer to make our floors look "like new".
How long does it normally take to dry if using the SealGreen W10 finishing gloss (summer time of 80-90 degrees) and do we need to move out of the house due to the fumes, etc for a day or so?
How much would we need for our home (estimating 1500 sq ft)
We have a few pieces that have come loose (see attached pictures). Can you please recommend the best way to fill those in and what products we should use.
ANSWER
I will answer your questions first.
1. I would allow the SealGreen W10 about 8 hours to dry completely. You could walk on it in about 2 to 4 hours but before moving furniture, etc. I would allow 8 hours.
2. There should be very little odor with the W10 Some people say they can smell it but I personally can’t. It is not like the solvent-based sealers that will drive you out of the house.
3. A gallon of the product will cover 1600 sq ft. The positives of using this product is that it can be used on a regular basis as it does not build up and will never need to be removed like a wax. You can use it to keep the traffic areas of the floor shiny on a weekly or monthly basis.
4. For the areas that need repair you should use our Concrete Patch Repair product to fill in the cracks. We use this product because it will take the colored stain (I would recommend #280 Bark Brown based on the color of your floor). You will still be able to see the repair but it will look like a feature of the design
5. I would recommend that you use the E10 Epoxy Sealer over the areas that you repair. And then finish with the W10.
