I have ordered and tried using your rust remover for cement, in this case fertilizer stains. I can say it did remove the orange spots and streaks, which is great. However it also left a bleached area when done, as the picture shows an example. Is there anything we could have done to not have that left?
The white areas are typically caused by one of two things:
- The rust remover may have cleaned those areas of the concrete more thoroughly than the surrounding surface, making the treated spots appear lighter by comparison. If this is the case, the lighter areas should gradually blend back in as the driveway is exposed to normal use, weather, and everyday dirt.
- In some cases, lighter or whiter areas can occur if the rust remover is left on the surface too long, which may brighten or bleach the concrete.
Based on the photo and our experience, this appears more consistent with the first situation rather than actual bleaching. Our recommendation is to allow the driveway some time to weather naturally. With normal exposure and use, the lighter areas should become less noticeable and blend more evenly with the surrounding concrete.
